A selection of sensor modules which may be easily interfaced to controllers that
support the industry standard I2C communications protocol such as the
BASIC Stamp BS2P or a PIC
microcontroller using the PicBasic or
PicBasic Pro compiler. Sensors include
the TPA81 which is a thermopile array that
detects infrared in the 2um-22um range and the
CMPS03 which is a magnetic compass that
has been specifically designed for use in robots as an aid to navigation.

The TPA81 is a thermopile array that detects infrared in the 2um-22um range.
The TPA81 can measure the temperature of 8 adjacent points simultaneously. The module
can also control a servo to pan itself around and build up a thermal image. Communication
with the TPA81 module is via the I2C bus.

CMPS03 Magnetic Compass

The CMPS03 Magnetic Compass has been specifically designed for use in robots
as an aid to navigation. The bearing may be retrieved from the module in one of
two ways; either using its PWM signal or its I2C interface.
