Motion Control
|
|
|
|
A selection of low-cost, and very versatile, speed and position controllers for
low voltage DC motors. Modules include the Motion Mind
which supports a variety of control methods including open loop and closed loop
control, Motor Mind B and
Motor Mind B Enhanced which simplify motor
control to a serial communication stream, Motor Mind
C which can control one or two motors and is ideal for use in small robotics
projects, ICON H-Bridge which is a low-cost, modular
solution to brushed DC motor control and
Mini Position Controller which is a complete PID position control module. In
addition, various accessories are available including the
Easy Roller Robot Wheel Kit which is a versatile and
sturdy robotic wheel drive system and the Quadrature
Encoder Kit which can turn the Easy Roller Robot Wheel Kit into a "dead-reckoning"
robot drive system. The new low cost Simple Bridge
is capable of bi-directional control of one brushed DC motor.

Motion Mind
|
 |
The Motion Mind can control one brushed DC motor using either open loop or closed
loop control methods. Open loop control methods can operate with serial data input,
button presses, analogue control signals (0-5V), and pulse control from a hobby
R/C type control signal. Closed loop control requires either a quadrature encoder
or an analogue feedback signal (0-5V) and provides accurate position and/or velocity
control.

Motor Mind B
|
 |
Bi-directional or uni-directional DC motors with operating voltages as great
as 30VDC can be used with the Motor Mind B. This module can handle peak currents
as large as 3.5A and continuous currents of 2.0A. Serial commands can be sent via
a 1 or 2 wire interface.

Motor Mind B Enhanced
|
 |
The Motor Mind B Enhanced provides serial control of small brushed DC motors.
Motor speed and direction can be controlled with 255 discrete step in both directions.
Motors up to 2.0A continuous current (6A peak) and from 6-36VDC can be controlled.

Motor Mind C
|
 |
The Motor Mind C provides control of one or two small brushed DC motors. Motor
speed and direction can be controlled up to 2.25A continuous current per motor.
This module is ideal for controlling small robotic systems.

Simple Bridge
|
 |
The Simple Bridge is capable of bi-directional control of one brushed DC motor
or other two-terminal DC load (such as a lamp or thermoelectric module). The small
footprint, low cost, and ease of use allow the Simple Bridge to fit many design
needs.

ICON H-Bridge
|
 |
The ICON H-Bridge provides easy connectivity and logic level control of brushed
DC motors to 40V and 12A. An on board microcontroller can be accessed via standard
serial communication, and provides temperature and current monitoring, as well as
user defined temperature and current fuse settings.
