A range of miniature engineering modules designed for use with
BASIC Stamps and many other controllers such as
Microchip PIC microcontrollers. Modules include
the MEM Key which is a fully programmable keypad encoder,
Pocket Watch B which is a real time clock and calendar
with advanced timing features, RAM Pack B which maintains
8Kx8 bytes of RAM and Serial Interface
which is an easy-to-use RS-232 communications conversion platform. The
SP03 Speech Synthesizer can speak up to
30 predefined phrases and includes a text to speech processor. Many code samples
are provided for use with BASIC Stamps or the
PicBasic or
PicBasic Pro compilers.

The SP03 Speech Synthesizer can speak up to 30 predefined phrases and includes
a text to speech processor, an audio amplifier and a 40mm speaker. Interfaces include
an RS232 serial interface, I2C bus interface and a parallel interface. Available
in both male and female versions.

MEM Key
|

The MEM Key is a fully programmable keypad encoder. The MEM Key supports either
a simple serial communication protocol or the standard PC/AT communication protocol.
It can decode key matrixes of up to 4 columns by 5 rows and can be programmed to
match the row-column configuration of any off the shelf keypad.

Pocket Watch B
|

The clock module keeps track of seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, and years.
Adjustments for leap year are automatically performed. This device communicates
via an easy-to-use, asynchronous, 1 or 2 wire, serial communications interface.
Baud rates of 2.4K, 4.8K, and 9.6K are supported with a user-friendly automatic
baud detect system.

RAM Pack B
|

The RAM Pack B module maintains 8Kx8 bytes of RAM. The module makes use of buffers
and an on board microcontroller to allow addressable access to the RAM using only
1 or 2 I/O lines. The 8Kx8 bytes of static RAM comes socketed. A software command
allows the RAM Pack B to be expanded to handle 32Kx8 RAM.

Serial Interface Board
|

The Serial Interface Board is an easy-to-use RS-232 communications conversion
platform. It converts TTL-level true-polarity serial data to RS-232 compliant serial
data. This proves extremely useful when interfacing standard electronics to a serial
port on a computer.
